La Bella Vita

As you might know I’m Italian and when I go to Italy for work I always try to visit my family. They lives north of Italy. However I was born and grew up in a place 7 hrs south from where they live now. 
I was born in a town called Caserta, about 30 minutes from Naples. And this week for the first time in many years I went back there. I had completely forgotten all the lovely places there are to visit and how friendly people are.

And the FOOD…

near Caserta is where the original “mozzarella di bufala” is produced . You will never taste anything like that anywhere else.
You must have the “sfogliatella” for breakfast with a nice cappuccino. And the pizza, in my opinion, is the best in the world!! Lots of simple dishes made with local produced vegetables, and because it’s not so “touristy “ everything is very affordable. 

La Reggia di Caserta, The Royal Palace of Caserta is the largest former royal residence in the world! The house and the gardens are beautiful and you can spend a whole day there. 

So if you are looking for a little trip I suggest you check it out!
